Distant Learning Qigong Therapy Course

Dear friends,We will be having a Qigong Therapy Distance Class Module 1 from 15 August 2015 to 6 September 2015.

This class is arranged to accommodate friends in the western hemisphere (Americas). All 10 classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00am to 10:30am New York time (Eastern Time Zone).

Minimal requirement:

– Have basic understanding on how qigong works.

– Able to practice the prescribed exercises (our in-house exercises not openly introduced) for at least 1 hour daily. (30 min complete immersion and 30 min incorporated into daily activity)

Schedule:

The class will  run weekly on Saturdays and Sundays. A class is 90 mins, participants are required to first go through the files received earlier.

Progress through qi-field:

Mr Ooi Kean Hin or Ms Sew Pei See will take the class personally. Rest assured you will progress through good qi-field.

How to attend:

Participants will log-on a website to attend the lectures online and will receive recorded files for subsequent practice.

We will be dealing with serious practice and we will guide participants to practice without getting into the wrong ways. Questions will be attended to immediately.

Objective of the qigong therapy class:

  1. Provide foundation work for one to have healthy body and mind: foundation for for qigong therapist training.
  2. To train those who are serious in qigong practice and wish to move to a higher level.
  3. After Module 1, participants will have good understanding in qigong science and able to command the methods to regulate emotions and loosen the lumbar (L1,2,3 within 12 months).

Module 1(Qigong Therapy)Contents:

  1. Foundation understanding of qi and the pathological perspective of Zhineng Qigong.
  2. Foundation human anatomy (qigong perspective to loosen lumbar and spine)
  3. The practice of internal qi – membranous tissue.

ZQ practises the internal and external qi. Without a good level of internal qi (without capital) there is no way for one to draw in sufficient external qi (how to do business effectively?). After years of practice many practitioners are not able to feel qi other then on the hands and arms. Many only experience the qi surrounding the body during push pull, very few have a good feel inside, on the membranous tissue wrapping up the whole body. We will change your practice within days.

Including: Straight Legs Sitting and special trainings on membranous tissue.

Fee:

Euro 500.00 or equivalent. Write to us if you have financial difficulties. Pay more if you find that it is worth much more than that at the end of the course 😉

Payment can be made through PayPal.

We promise an eye-opening experience.

For more information, please write to us: okhpen@gmail.com

What comes after module 1?

    Q&A about the class:

‎1. Are you going to teach Body Mind Form, Lift Qi Up, 3 Centers Merge?
No. Will not teach any of those but will introduce a few ways to practice certain exercises in BMF and 3CM more efficiently.

    2. What are the core exercises?
Straight Legs Sitting (our version), special exercises to work on the membranous tissues and most importantly they are exercises that you can incorporate into daily activities. How to relax – many have neglected this too much – we will make you feel the difference. We aim to build up the internal qi and loosen the waist in a rapid manner.

    3. Are you going to introduce Taiji Ball? I have learnt them years ago.
A little bit. Yes, many have learnt it, but probably as many have never experienced what they should get. We promise it will be an eye-opening experience – things you don’t find in the books.

    4. What are the theoretical aspects?
How well you can explain about qi and co-relates it with modern research? We found that many are not able to introduce Zhineng Qigong in a systematic manner. We work with universities and research labs here; we will let you know how we can convince people from all walks of life of the power of Zhineng Qigong.

    5. What constitutes the pathological perspective of Zhineng Qigong?
Simply put, how do we get ill. We have the internal and external factors. We will give you simple explanations, examples and stories where you can use as reference in your teaching. I have never failed to convince the scientists, doctors and pharmacists in the Ministry of Health that Zhineng Qigong is a science, not something mystical, and we can explain it. My clinical case studies have convinced the officials that qigong is a therapeutic practice, not just a wellness exercise.

    6. Do you limit the number of participants?
Yes. Although my classes have always been lively, this is serious work. We intend to take in 10 to 20 pax. Borrow a phrase from Uncle Ben (spiderman’s uncle)- with great power comes great responsibility. As you go deeper into the practice the qi level will go up strongly and we have to keep an eye on you before you know how to take care of your qi responsibly.. 😉

    7. Are you going to teach Five One Form?
No. Nothing about Five One Form.

    8. Why don’t you arrange for the course to be completed within 2 week? Many will have difficulties joining classes which spread over 8 weeks.
The first five lessons are very important they cover most of what you have to learn and perceive. We spread out the lessons so that whatever you perceived within the qi field will be able to ankle inside you. Many have complained about losing what they perceived in workshop days after that. We try to avoid that. Of course we might try to adjust in further.

    More on the way…. probably…

      Hello again, Kean Hin !

I just read about this online course and I am very interested in deed.

      I have some issues though:

      1. Schedule: since I live in Brazil it will be too early for me (we here are now 5 hours ahead than Germany) ; during this time I will be at work !

      2. Attendance: do I need to have Skype and a webcam?

      3. Malaysia Skill Certificate for Qigong Therapy: how does it work? I mean, do I have to be in Malaysia for that?

Anyway I hope you will be able to offer this same course in a more suitable schedule for South America so I could attend to. Maybe next on the weekends, who knows?

      Best Regards from Brazil,
      Aline.

    – What will be the best time for South Americans then? a little enlightenment please 😉

    2. Attendance: do I need to have Skype and a webcam?
    – We are using GoToMeeting with HD Faces. Webcam is needed for me to see you.
    see here: http://www.gotomeeting.com/fec/online_meeting_support

    3. Malaysia Skill Certificate for Qigong Therapy: how does it work? I mean, do I have to be in Malaysia for that?
    – The Malaysia government will regulate all traditional and complementary medicines. For one to be a qigong therapist to provide therapeutic services, he/she has to meet the requirement of National Occupational Skill Standard for Qigong Therapy. (A 1260 contact hours course.) Yes, you have to be here for an interview/evaluaion.

Anyway I hope you will be able to offer this same course in a more suitable schedule for South America so I could attend to. Maybe next on the weekends, who knows?
    – I have many friends in EU but not very familiar with the practitioners in America, That is why the schedule for this course.

    Thanks for your interest.

    Dear Kean Hin,

now it´s 11h10 in Brazil and Germany is 5 hours ahead from us (it´s 16h10 over there).

A good time for me for example would be starting at 20:00 pm (2:00 am in Germany).

I am afraid there a few qigong practioners here in Brazil and my idea is to do my best to spread it here. I learned some qigong techniques while I lived in Canada with Master Weizaho Wu and unfortunately I had to come back to Brazil so I could not study and learn further over there. Now I practice it everyday and buy books to learn more about ZQ Theories (I´ve bought your books and DVD´s as well).

    We will keep in touch,
    Aline.

  4. Ooi Kean Hin says:

    Dear all,

We have change to another webcast service provider and now we can take up to 20 participants: there are 4 more seats to go.

The next trial session will be on 30th May and the class will begin on June 12th. If you are interested, please write to me directly.

Various feedback about the Relaxation Practice(Returning to emptiness):

I just follow your instructions and feel what you say. At the end I feel grateful to the universe for being in the universe.

Yesterday it was a great experience to feel the pulsing all over the body. Good to feel that the mind can bring the body alive so much. I’m glad I am following the course.

Thanks for sending this one! I’m beginning to wonder when do you ever sleep? Anyway, I tried out the file. It was different than last night, but so am I today, so I guess that’s also a factor.
I could go along with the exercise immediately but got a bit light headed and could not feel my body absorbing and dissolving as easy as last night. I guess that’s because I’m not as relaxed and worrying a bit. ;-).

It is indeed very powerful, filling up the whole body with bright light.
Thank you. I enjoy doing it!

it’s very powerfull, it heals all my body and i’m very quiet after.

    • Kean Hin says:

In Malaysia those who are qualified will be certified as a Qigong Therapist by the government. For to apply that they must have minimally 4 years of practicing experience and meet specific requirements laid down by each form.

The course is 10 weeks and the next one will start on Saturday 5 January 2013 at 08:30 CET and 15:30 Malaysia/Singapore time.

  10. Ronald H says:

    Hi Kean Hin,

I have been reading your book Zhineng Qigong this last year. Patricia (Director of European Qigong Institute) had put me on your track. I have been practicing Zhi Neng Qigong for the last 10 years, I learned with a teacher in Montreal.
I am a Psychologist and have a private practice in Montreal. I am dreaming of teaching Zhineng Qigong in schools. I read the report of the experiment done by Gerd Brolin. Very inspiring. Although I have been practicing for quite a few years, I still feel I need to learn everything about Zhineng Qi Gong. I have a feeling you are the person I should be aligned with.
I just found this information about your training. What would you recommend me to do in order to start a long distance communication with you and get ready for the next opportunity to follow the training with you?

I am Dominique and I live and in Sweden. I have been practising ZQ since one year now. I read your book ZQ and felt it gave me what was missing from the place where I learnt qigong. I want to know much more about ZQ and become a real therapist. It seems like you are the person who can help me with this. Please let me know as soon as it is possible to enroll for the next module 1.

  15. Kean Hin says:

    Feedback from a friend:
Last Saturdays lecture was interesting – I was unable to log on in the usual way but was able to hear the lecture and do the short practice – so I was there – but not there !

This Module 2 class has taught me much, and made me really think about what really is Qigong practice. It is not only about the number of hours that you either do, or do not practice, but rather how well you can integrate, and extend the Qi mind and awareness into your daily lives and activities.

I have not asked many questions , firstly, because if I have one in my mind you will already answer it in the class. And also on a deeper level I know that I will be given the information and knowledge that I need when I am ready to receive it.

Many times during the class you have made me go ‘aha’ that explains that.
During the class you have clarified – challenged – and at times confused me – thank you.

  16. Agnes Witte says:

Will you be offering Distant Learning Qigong Therapy Course again? If so: when? I’d love to participate.

      Thanks for the interest.
